Ito Now - Judge

After the trial, Judge Ito seeped his way into pop culture. A famous segment of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno introduced the "Dancing Itos," which featured comical choreography and, occasionally, other key players in the trial.

Ito recently retired from his position as Los Angeles Superior Court Judge.

Mark Fuhrman - LAPD Detective

Furhman left the LAPD in 1995, after 20 years on the job, and now resides in Idaho where he writes and consults.

Although his post-O.J. career has brought success, Fuhrman says the trial was a travesty. “Nothing good came out of it,” Fuhrman said.

“Nobody was served any justice. If we had let the facts and forensic evidence speak for itself, the people of America would have justice, and we wouldn’t be talking.”

Robert Kardashian - Defence Lawyer

Though the defence emerged successful, Kardashian has admitted his doubts about the verdict. “The blood evidence is the biggest thorn in my side, that causes me great problems.”

At age 59, Kardashian was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. He died eight weeks later on September 30, 2003.

It is said that in his final weeks, Simpson attempted to contact Kardashian, but Kardashian declined to take the call.

Kris Jenner - Friend of Victim (Nicole) & Former Wife of Defence Lawyer (Robert Kardashian)

Robert Kardashian’s former wife, Kris Jenner, was close friends with murder victim Nicole Brown Simpson. Pregnant at the time with a baby girl, Jenner decided to honour her friend by naming her child Kendall Nicole.

Jenner (along with her children) rose to fame in 2007, starring in the American TV reality show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians".

She runs her own production company, Jenner Communications, which is based in Los Angeles, through which she manages the careers of her kids (Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie & Robert).

Fred Goldman - Father of Victim

The father of the “other” murder victim, Fred Goldman, remains vocal about his grief for the loss of his son Ron and his dissatisfaction with the verdict.

A year after the 20th anniversary of Ron’s murder, he appeared on NBC’s "Today" show to discuss the historic trial. “The loss is exactly the same,” he lamented. “Nothing has changed.”

F. Lee Bailey - Defence Lawyer

Though he has enjoyed many successes, misconduct on F. Lee Bailey's part resulted in his disbarment in both Florida and Massachusetts.

His attempt to gain admission to practice law in Maine was rejected due to his lack of remorse, and he has since, at least temporarily, given up on practicing law.

Marcia Clark - Prosecutor for the State

Since the exhausting experience that was the trial, Clark has enjoyed success as the author of a mystery series based on female prosecutors.

She hopes that one day, she will be known for her writing instead of her involvement in the trial.

Christopher Darden - Prosecutor for the State

Shortly after the O.J. Simpson trial, Darden taught undergraduate criminal law. In 1999, he started his own law firm, Darden and Associates, Inc.

He was considered for elevation into judgeship in 2007.

Robert Shapiro - Defence Lawyer

In 2005, Shapiro's son Brent died of a drug overdose. With his wife and son, he founded the Brent Shapiro Foundation to honor Brent and his life as well as to increase awareness of addiction.

After the trial, Dershowitz worked as a legal advisor and as a teacher at Harvard. He retired in December 2013.

Carl E. Douglas currently has a law office in Beverly Hills, California. He specialises in police misconduct cases.

After the trial, Cochran took part in a daily Court TV show. He left in 1999 to start his own law firm.

In 2005, Cochran passed away due to a brain tumour.
