Visual Learner - The Looker
Visual Learner - The Looker
You're REALLY a visual learner!
Visual learners learn best by looking at graphics, watching a demonstration, or reading. For them, it’s easy to look at charts and graphs, but they may have difficulty focusing while listening to an explanation.
You may find yourself dozing off when people just keep talking and talking, that's because you'd do much better to read over the material. As a tip, try to read over material before or after you are in a lecture or meeting - you'll remember much more!
Auditory Leaner - The Listener
Auditory Leaner - The Listener
You're the listener, an auditory learner!
Auditory learners would rather listen to things being explained than read about them. Reciting information out loud and having music in the background may be a common study method. Other noises may become a distraction resulting in a need for a relatively quiet place.
You probably find yourself easily bothered when people are talking around you (maybe even in the movies, too?). You focus on words and your memory relies on paying attention to verbal cues.
I suggest playing some classical music while you're studying or working, many studies suggest that it will help!
Hands-on Learner - The Toucher
Hands-on Learner - The Toucher
You're the toucher - a hands on leaner! It's also called a kinesthetic learner!
Kinesthetic learners process information best through a “hands-on” experience. Actually doing an activity can be the easiest way for them to learn. Sitting still while studying may be difficult, but writing things down makes it easier to understand.
You might want to consider going into a trade profession. Something like carpentry, painting, dancing, or even cooking may be a great choice. You learn from experience - so while in class you may find yourself learning the most from worksheets or practice problems.
I suggest creating a real world problem to solve when you're confused, you're not just a thinker - you're a doer!
