Molly
Molly
You're a molly! Mollies are tropical community fish. Usually you can find them in white, black, dalmatian, and orange. Mollies are usually friendly, but sometimes they can be quite mean. Mollies especially get aggressive when another fish is attacking them first. Just because they're sweet doesn't mean they can't hold their own. Even though they know how to protect themselves, Mollies can get stressed out a bit easier than other fish and are more prone to getting sick. If treated well, mollies can be a great addition to an aquarium!
Platy
Platy
You're a platy! Platies are a tropical community fish. Platies can be found in red, orange, yellow, silver, blue, and sometimes white. They can also have lots of cool patterns- some platies even have Mickey-Mouse shapes on their tails! In addition to being some of the cutest tropical fish, platies are also among the sweetest. They are almost never seen attacking other fish or becoming tank bullies. Overall, platies are just a bunch of cuties that brighten up the aquarium.
Angelfish
Angelfish
You got angelfish! Angelfish are semi-aggressive tropical fish. Usually they can come in black, white, yellow, and bronze. Some of them are striped, some are solid color, and some have colors mottled together. Angelfish can be tricky to take care of because they don't always get along with others. Sometimes they become bullies to smaller fish in the aquarium. However, they aren't necessarily mean enough to belong in an aggressive tank. They are also very sensitive to change and can become stressed out quite easily. Though they are definitely beautiful, angels can be quite a handful!
Betta
Betta
You're a betta fish! Betta fish come in all different kinds, usually depending on the shape of their fins. The cool thing about betta fish is that they are very unique and each have their own personality. Some betta fish are very laid back and non aggressive. They can even live with other fish, so long as the other fish aren't bettas. Other betta fish are more aggressive, and will refuse to share tank space with anyone. They can also become quite interactive with their owners. Some bettas will come to the surface and fan out their fins to say hello. Others can even learn to like human touch, and will want to be pet like a dog! They are certainly interesting, to say the least.
Oscar Cichlid
Oscar Cichlid
You got Oscar cichlid! Oscars are among the meanest tropical fish available. There are a couple different kinds of Oscars; the most common are fire Oscars, tiger Oscars, and albino Oscars. They grow to be about the size of a football and will devour anything that enters their tank. Except, maybe, another Oscar. Though they are incredibly mean, Oscars are very interesting fish. They can each have their own personalities, and they can become very attached to their tankmates, and sometimes their owners. One of their most defining qualities is their extreme hardiness- Oscars can live for ten years!
Neon Tetra
Neon Tetra
You're a neon tetra! Neon tetras are some of the most basic community tropical fish. They are very small - only reaching one inch full grown - but also very cute. Neon tetras are schoolers, meaning they need to have at least two other tetras in the tank with them. They can become very stressed without having friends in the tank with them. Neon tetras are very fragile. They are very prone to anxiety and have the highest rate of heart attacks than most other community fish. Neons are generally adored by most people and make a fantastic addition to simple community tanks.
Goldfish
Goldfish
You're a goldfish! Goldfish come in many different sorts- you can find oranda goldfish, fantail, ryukin, pearlscale, black moor, comet, and many more. Though they are high maintenance, they are some of the most reliable fish out there. They create great relationships with their owners, and live more than ten years with good care. Unfortunately, there are a lot of misconceptions about goldfish, and they usually get taken for granted. But when their owners care for them with love, goldfish will always love them back!
GloFish
GloFish
You're a GloFish! GloFish are normal fish that are genetically modified to have neon colors. Don't worry, it doesn't hurt them! GloFish can survive rough conditions and very rarely get sick. This is because they are not only modified to be colorful, but also to be extremely healthy. GloFish are usually okay in community aquariums, but because of their genetic modification, they can sometimes be a bit too extreme and bully other fish. It doesn't mean they're bad, just very robust. GloFish are a very unique addition to community aquariums!
