From blockbuster films to new ITV period dramas, this lot have been busy since bidding the Abbey farewell...
Michelle Dockery
Since finding fame as Lady Mary Crawley, Michelle Dockery has appeared in The Hollow Crown, Anna Karenina, Restless, Non-Stop and upcoming film Self/less. Now, as filming winds down for the Abbey's final season, she's got her first post-Downton job lined up. Dockery has been cast in US pilot Good Behaviour. She'll star as Letty Dobesh, a thief and con artist who has recently been released from prison. Talk about not being type-cast...
Jessica Brown Findlay
Lady Sybil's death was possibly the most shocking and upsetting moment in Downton Abbey's history. We're still not sure we've come to terms with it, but Brown Findlay probably has. Since hanging up her formal hat, she's appeared in Labyrinth, Winter's Tale, Lullaby, The Riot Club and Jamaica Inn (you know, the one with all the mumbling.) She's also set to star in Victor Frankenstein, Everything Carries Me to You and fairytale film This Beautiful Fantastic. You can also currently catch her in BBC1's The Outcast.
Dan Stevens
When Dan Stevens left Downton Abbey it ruined our collective Christmasses. But his Hollywood career has gone from strength to strength since. Stevens has starred in The Guest, Summer in February, A Walk Among the Tombstones, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and The Fifth Estate. And he's poised to lead upcoming Disney classic Beauty and the Beast opposite Emma Watson.
Cara Theobald
Ivy departed Downton and headed to the United States at the end of series four. The actress who played her hasn't followed in her footsteps and left the UK for Hollywood just yet but she has got a number of impressive roles under her belt. After parts in Last Tango in Halifax and Call the Midwife, Theobald is currently starring in The Syndicate.
Iain Glen
Once one of Lady Mary's (many) suitors, Iain Glen played dastardly Sir Richard Carlisle. Now you probably recognise him as Jorah Mormont in Game of Thrones, but he's also starred in The Hollow Crown, The Iron Lady, Prisoners Wives, Kick Ass 2 and Breathless since bidding farewell to the Abbey. Plus he'll appear in The Bad Education Movie alongside Jack Whitehall this summer.
Robert Bathurst
Since leaving Lady Edith at the altar (sob) Sir Anthony Strallan, or more accurately Robert Bathurst the actor who played him, has been one busy man. Bathurst has bagged roles in Dracula, Blandings, Toast of London, Agatha Raisin: The Quiche of Death and Mrs Brown's Boy's D'Movie. He also appears in upcoming films Absolutely Anything and Narcopolis.
Lily James
Lady Rose hasn't actually left Downton Abbey yet - Lily James has promised us she'll appear in the upcoming sixth and final season - but that hasn't stopped the offers from rolling in. The 26-year-old led Disney's new live action Cinderella earlier this year and is set to star in upcoming blockbusters Adam Jones, Baby Driver and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, as well as mini series War and Peace.
Joanne Froggatt
Joanne Froggatt has played beloved lady's maid Anna Bates since Downton Abbey's very first episode. Now, as the show prepares to come to a close, Froggatt is already being lined up for new and exciting projects. She's set to star in upcoming movie Starfish - and to lead new ITV period drama Dark Angel, where she'll play a real-life Victorian serial killer.
Tom Cullen
Tony Gillingham didn't manage to get Lady Mary down the aisle, but he's certainly attracted some impressive roles since his stint on the hit period drama. Actor Tom Cullen is set to star in FIVE upcoming films: Mine, A Hundred Streets, Black Mountain Poets, The Batsman and the Ballerina and Happily Ever After.
Theo James
Theo James didn't make it out of the Abbey alive. His character Kemal Pamuk scandalously died in Lady Mary's bed. Since being dragged down Downton's hallways in the dead of night, James has appeared in The Inbetweeners Movie, Room at the Top and Golden Boy. But you probably recognise him as Four in the Divergent films.
