You are an Arctic Mermaid! Arctic Mermaids live in the freezing, icy lands of the far north, or the far south. They love sitting on icebergs and singing, but they do not sing to lure adventurers to their deaths. Arctic Mermaids leave their families when they are 15, unless they are unable to survive on their own. They love cold temperature, and they can stand anything under 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees Fahrenheit).

You are a Deep-Sea Mermaid! Deep-Sea Mermaids live a secluded life, living in the deepest, most freezing parts of the ocean. They usually can make their own light, for they is no light where they live. They are smaller then average mermaids, enabling them to endure in the pressure-filled waters. They are typically swift and resistant to cold.

You are a Siren! Sirens live in places where there is little life, like secluded islands, and some Sirens live in the silent and desolate twilight zone of the ocean. This makes it hard for them to find food, so they discovered a method of hunting -- sitting on rocks and singing to lure ships and adventurers to their deaths, and then feeding. Practicing this every day, Sirens have developed enchanting singing voices that are nearly impossible to resist.

Selkies are lovely creatures of the ocean - they are seals, but when someone sticks a knife in them, they shed their hides and become humans. whenever they want to, they can put on their hide and turn back into a seal. You are a Kelpie! Kelpies are mysterious shape-shifters, and nobody knows their true form. They are found in swamps and lakes, and spend their time waiting for people to come by. Once people come by, they shift their form, usually into a young lady or a beautiful horse, and make the people/person come over. If someone touches their skin, Kelpies become adhesive, and drag the person into the water, drowning them. They then eat the person.

You are a Nereid or Naiad! Nereids are beautiful ladies that dwell in seas, similar to their cousins, the Naiads, who dwell within fresh water places. They cannot be out of salt water long. If they stay out of salt water longer than they should, they die. The Naiads are the same, only with fresh water. Different types of Naiads are:

You are a Jengu! Jengus are mermaids from the mythology of the Sawa, an ethnic group in Cameroon. They are mermaids with the ability to heal and cure diseases magically, and they are believed to act as and intermediate between the world of spirits, and the world we exist in. They typically have a gap between their teeth, and they have a brightly-colored fish-like appearance from the waist down, not unlike merpeople.
