An Alabama movie theater will not screen Disney's upcoming Beauty and the Beast remake because it says the film features a "homosexual character."
In an interview with Attitude magazine, director Bill Condon said that the film ends with an "exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie." He revealed that it involves Josh Gad's character, Le Fou.
LeFou is somebody who on one day wants to be Gaston and on another day wants to kiss Gaston. He's confused about what he wants. It's somebody who's just realizing that he has these feelings.

This is a pretty huge step for Disney, but some people aren't happy. A staff member at the Henegar Drive-In Theater in Alabama posted on Facebook, "if we can not take our 11 year old grand daughter and 8 year old grandson to see a movie we have no business watching it. If I can't sit through a movie with God or Jesus sitting by me then we have no business showing it."
Beauty and the Beast opens in theaters everywhere Friday, March 17th.
