The ALDC’s Greatest Villains

Sure, she was just an angry backside, but never has a faceless rump packed so much fury. She rattled them cages in the pilot episode and looking back, really set the stage for some of the ALDC’s greatest nemeses. Without Minister Dawn, we may never have had the following.

Jeanette is the classic example of what not to do when you’ve been unceremoniously dumped: pretend like it never happened; show up everywhere in something glittery to show them what they’re missing out on; then go for full out revenge by competing against them at any given opportunity. Jeanette, it’s time you got over it. You’re just hurting yourself now.

Beware of a woman who channels her inner Patsy Ramsey. What does it say when you have that embroidered on your jacket as a badge of honour? Nothing good. The dance moms learned that the hard way.

I’m loath to say this (Kelly and Christi FOREVER!) but things were shaky between them and Abby ever since Kelly had a go at Abby’s weave and Abby slated Chloe that last time. Then came the lawsuit and social media campaign and things have been going downhill ever since. It hurts more because you were once one of them, guys.

This one makes the list on the sheer numbers alone. An entire country’s worth of dancers tried to keep Abby out of Australia, which equates to a lot of hate. But even a campaign on the mighty Change.org wasn’t able to win this one.

Think of the Murrieta Dance Company as LA’s answer to Candy Apples, except they actually manage to beat the ALDC, which probably makes these guys the most heinous of villains in Abby’s eyes. They win extra points for the crack one of the rival mothers made about Abby’s mum in this week’s episode. Ouch.

The oldest—strictly in terms of her tenure on the show, that is— and the worst. Cathy manages to balance being gloriously evil with a house made up purely of pink frill and rabbit ornaments, which is tricky to do and more than earns her the spot at the top of the list as the ALDC’s greatest villain of all. That’s something you can shout about from your giant megaphone, Cathy.
