Why Hufflepuff House Actually Rocks

Out of an entire school of witches and wizards it was a Hufflepuff (not a Gryffindor!) who was chosen as the most capable to bring Hogwarts eternal glory.

Auror training is known to be difficult and intensive, so there are few qualified witches and wizards for the job. The fact that Tonks qualified at such a young age is extremely impressive. Plus she went off to fight the Dark Lord after just giving birth and gave her life so her son could live in a better world.

In the battle of Hogwarts, Professor Sprout, the head of Hufflepuff House, threw Devil's Snare at Deatheaters to strangle them.

Out of all four Hogwarts houses, Hufflepuff has produced the least amount of dark wizards. That means more Gryffindors have gone bad than Hufflepuffs. Now which house is more gallant and just?

Hufflepuffs demonstrated their traits of loyalty and fighting for justice as their numbers that remained to defend Hogwarts were second only to Gryffindor.

The author explained in an interview that Hufflepuff is her favorite house. Her love for the house lies in the motives (or lack thereof) behind the decision of the Hufflepuff students to stay and fight Voldemort and his followers. She says they stayed “for a different reason [than the Gryffindors]. They didn’t want to show off, they weren’t being reckless, that’s the essence of Hufflepuff.” If the Queen says so, then it's good enough for us.

The Hufflepuff common room is fantastic for a few reasons. Most importantly, it's near the kitchens... It is also the only common room that has never been accessed by outsiders.
