What Type of Rune Caster are You?

As expected from the name, these units focus on melee combat and damage. Most Attackers will use Physical Essence, but Attackers are able to use Elemental Essence to great effect as well. As such, there are sub roles: Melee and Battle Mage.

These units main task is the protection of weaker or more vulnerable units, with particular attention paid to the welfare and safety of the all important Healers. Defenders almost exclusively use Physical Essence to boost their defensive and combat prowess.

Units that specialise in keeping their companions healthy, they are much more vulnerable as their runes take time to cast. They almost exclusively use Spiritual Essence to help their allies, though there are whispers that Healers can combine their powers to create even more potent runes.

These units specialise in ‘buffing’ their allies with a combination of Spiritual, Elemental and Physical Essences. Easily considered one of the most flexible of Rune Casters, their services are invaluable to a team. Supporters can also team up with Healers, but are also equally as vulnerable as them.

Units that prefer to attack from a distance, like Attackers they can use a mixture of Physical and Elemental Essences. Some Rangers are also able to use weaker versions of Spiritual or Arcane Essences, but not to the same potency as units more proficient in using them.

These units are at their best when using Arcane Essence, debilitating enemies while also being able to get up close and retreat quickly from harm. Recon tend not to stray too far from their mastery of Arcane Essence, as the runes -while strong in their own right- are entirely incapable of combining with other Essences.
