Meet Luna, The Adorable Baby Sea Otter!

Luna was abandoned as a pup, but now she's been rescued and is a very happy Pup!

Luna was found, abandoned and alone, on a beach in central California. Here family were nowhere to be found, and little Luna was not in a good state.

Luna was brought to Monterey Bay Aquarium, where rescuers immediately set to work taking extra good care of Luna. She had a long way to go, but they were determined to not let the little one go!

Getting used to the water again!

Luna needed an incredible amount of care, but the Monterey Bay team stepped up to the plate, and soon she was swimming and playing just like any other Otter pup!

Luna got completely better, and it was time to find her a full time home! She moved from California to the Shedd Aquarium in Illinois. The Monterey Bay team were sad to let her go, but so proud of all her progress!

Luna became accustomed to humans and couldn't be released back into the wild, but she seems okay with it!

It looks like Luna is pretty pleased to be Illinois' new rising aquatic star! Nice going Luna!
