Teach Art, Dance, Drama or Music to Children in Uganda
If art, drama or music is your thing then consider sharing your creative talents on a volunteer project in Uganda. This is a great opportunity to learn about music, drama, art and dance in different cultures and languages and be inspired!
Teach Art, Music, Dance and/or Drama at a local school for orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda. The Arts are an excellent means of communicating and can also be downright fun for the kids! You don’t need any qualifications, just lots of enthusiasm.
Use Arts to address social issues and enable children to express their frustrations and confusions – and perhaps help them to understand and learn to cope with unwelcome situations. Art, Dance, Music or Drama helps teach children life skills, communication and socializing skills. And it’s fun!
Grassroots Volunteering at Orphanage School
Hope Children’s Academy a Nursery and Daycare centre for orphans and vulnerable children provide classes to children aged 3yrs-7yrs. A volunteer can help with teaching English and other subjects. Teaching experience is not required. You can begin as a teaching assistant and then work in small groups with children in need of extra attention.
The objective of this program is to contribute to the academic development of the school in order to provide the best opportunity for the orphans to receive quality education. Volunteers support the local teachers; encourage students to learn and play and instill pride in their schooling.
