Cuyahoga Valley

This Ohio park was established as a national recreation area, but didn't officially become a national park until October 11, 2000.

The largest intact old-growth bottomland hardwood forest (located in South Carolina) in the United States became a national park on November 10, 2003.

Although some of this south-central Colorado region became a national monument in 1932, it was expanded and became a national park on September 13, 2004.
