Totally classy. And I was a vegetarian as well. But yeah, so I got there on time, really nervous and excited. And it was a cold day and raining, and I stood there for maybe two or three hours. Then I went home. The next day at school, she was so pissed off. She was like, "I waited for over an hour!" I found out there were two of these Burger Kings on the same road.

We watched your character on Outlander lose his virginity. Would you do anything differently about your first time?

Sam Heughan

I think everyone's first time is pretty uneventful. You build it up, but it's just a moment in time. So I guess what I would say if I could go back in time is, Don't worry about it.

I don't think it's gratuitous. A lot of people go wrong, and it becomes almost pornographic. We don't show an awful lot, but we try to show the sensitivity and the emotion, and hopefully that is sexier than seeing bare flesh.

The last book I read was by Bear Grylls. He was one of the youngest men ever to climb Everest. He's quite inspiring. He talks a lot about the loneliness and the grind you have to do on the mountain, and those quiet moments are when you're testing yourself and knowing yourself better. I relate to that. I kind of crave loneliness.
