Schoolbus Sized Ancient Crocodile Discovered

Scientists just discovered a new species of giant prehistoric crocodile in Tunisia. The "Machimosaurus rex" is estimated to have been over 30 feet long and weighed three tons!

The skull alone was around 5 feet long. Federico Fanti of the University of Bologna discovered the creature supported by the National Geographic Society Committee for Research and Exploration.

For perspective, the largest modern crocodiles on record rarely get to about 20 feet long - and even they are enormous. Can you imagine one that dwarves even this fellow?
