But the 2017 Academy Awards Best Picture mix-up might just take the cake. La La Land was announced as the Best Picture of 2017 after Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway ended up with the card for Best Actress instead of the Best Picture Category. In a recent statement, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the accounting firm which tallies and keeps track of the ballots, apologized and explained the incident. What is believed to have happened currently is that Warren Beatty was handed the duplicate card announcing Emma Stone as best actress as he walked onstage instead of the card announcing the Best Picture winner.
We sincerely apologise to Moonlight, La La Land, Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, and Oscar viewers for the error that was made during the award announcement for best picture.
