Friday Night Football
Friday Night Football
You live for the crisp, fall nights spent under the glow of the stadium lights. Whether you're on the field or in the stands, Carmel football is your pride and joy. Truly no better way to start every school year than with Friday Night Football. Go Corsairs!
All-School Mass
All-School Mass
Catholic mass at a Catholic school means more than just celebrating the Eucharist. All-school masses give you a sense of community and togetherness. Plus there is no better ending to "I Send You Out" than with a Tom Wattelet drum solo.
Walk-a-Thon
Walk-a-Thon
Excited for Prom? I bet... we all are, but you're the kind of person who's also excited for walk-a-thon! You love to dress up in hilarious gear and race your friends. Or maybe you just use this half-day to get some exercise in. Either way you get to spend time in the Seminary, and there is literally no place prettier than right across the street from One Carmel Parkway.
Blood Drive
Blood Drive
You love to help people out, and you also like a good excuse to get out of class. You can tolerate needles, and you love the snacks: Goldfish and Oreo's. Just pray you don't faint!
Community Day
Community Day
It's like a dress-down day but for the Carmel Community. Really, I can't think of a better excuse to get to wear sweatpants and gym shoes. Enjoy your out-of-uniform day and celebrate your involvement in the community!
Any School Dance
Any School Dance
Homecoming. Turnabout. Prom. A perfect excuse to get your friends together, ask your crush out, dress up, take pictures, and dance the night away. Homecoming, along with its Spirit Week, comes just in time to give Carmel students a fun night together. Turnabout switches things up by having girls ask guys to the dance. And Prom is just the ideal night: everyone's favorite.
Pep Rally
Pep Rally
Unfortunately, Pep Rallies extend B5 days to a 3 o'clock dismissal, but they are always so much fun! The emcees have their corny jokes. The Poms and Cheerleaders have their routines. The fall play/spring musical is advertised. That season's teams are introduced. And if you're lucky, the Dewey Decimals will perform. You really can't go wrong with a Pep Rally.
Powder Puff
Powder Puff
"You throw like a girl" might have been an insult in The Sandlot, but in Powder Puff it's far from it. Throw like a girl, run like a girl, and play like a girl, because, well, these girls get to show off their skills. As a precursor to the Homecoming football game on Friday, Powder Puff lets juniors battle seniors, who always, as usual, come out on top. Better luck next year, juniors!
