With a time of 53.13 seconds, she beat out her closest competitor by a decently sized margin of 0.4 seconds to get the gold!

Not to mention, the bronze medal also went to an American, Ashley Spencer, who had a time of 53.72 seconds and was also competing in her first Olympic Games.
