She's very articulate and aspires to perfect everything she tries.

Amethyst is the extroverted "wild card" of the Crystal Gems; she lives for anything adventurous or fun. She acts as an older sister to Steven and loves to pull pranks and joke around with him. Though she doesn't technically need sleep or food, she indulges in both. She can sometimes be very immature and let her emotions get the best of her. Amethyst also pines for social approval but tries to hide it and appear strong and carefree.

Garnet tends to act as a motherly mentor towards Steven. Her emotions are often hidden and pushed aside to favor more logical solutions.

Connie is the quiet and introverted best friend of Steven. She was reading a book on the beach when they officially met. While she is highly academically intelligent, she struggles with social interaction. She often claims that she has no friends and worries that she'll lose Steven's companionship. Her parents are incredibly strict and often put pressure on her to succeed. She prefers the world in books to her life and often day dreams.

Lapis Lazuli is the mysterious Gem that was trapped in a mirror until Steven released her. Lapis struggles with controlling her emotions and keeping calm. It's very hard to gain her trust due to her shy nature and her skepticism of human nature. If you manage to gain her trust, she can be an incredible friend.

Rose Quartz is the mother of Steven and original creator of the Crystal Gems. She had to give up her physical form in order to bring Steven into the world. She initially arrived on Earth with the intention of taking it over, but soon fell in love with humans and their culture. She is very passionate about every living thing and would sacrifice herself for her loved ones. Rose has a good balance of emotion and logic. Her intelligence and ability to handle stress makes her a wise and powerful leader.
