Magic Johnson - 1992
In 1991 Magic Johnson retired after contracting HIV. Fans missed Magic so much that they still voted him into the 1992 All Star Game months later and he rewarded them with a show. After having not played in the NBA for months, Magic put up 25 points and 9 assists against the NBA's best, taking home MVP honors.
Kobe Bryant - 2011
Kobe scored 37 points, paired with an impressive 14 rebounds in front of his home crowd in LA. Following his 4th All Star MVP for his performance, Kobe officially moved into a first place tie with Bob Pettit for most MVP's. Now the All Star Game trophy is of course named after Kobe.
Lebron James - 2011
Newly annointed NBA villain, Lebron tried his best to spoil Kobe's home all star game. The second player ever to record a triple-double in an All Star Game, the king totaled 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Unfortunatly, as we saw earlier on this list, Lebron failed to get the W for the East and Kobe went home with MVP.
