Jack Kassewitz of SpeakDolphin.com used an imaging system known as a Cymascope to create these images - both replicating how a Dolphin "sees" in the ocean using echolocation:

The system makes it possible to isolate and record echolocation sounds. The recordings are then used to make 2D images.

A computer then turns those images into full fledged 3D models that you see here:
