CAS
CAS
So maybe your degree isn't as glamorous as one from Tisch but you make up the majority and are probably considered some of the most normal at NYU kids. You probably cared more about being in New York City for college rather than studying anything in particular but you'll come out with a solid degree that won't narrow down your employment options and actually makes sense to someone outside of NYU so you've got Gallatin beat there.
Gallatin
Gallatin
People may make fun of you for not being able to make up your mind on what to study but let's face it, you get to take the coolest classes and you basically study whatever the hell you want. Let's just hope some employer will appreciate your degree in the "non-binary feminist narratives in spoken word literature in the glam rock subculture of 11th century Australia".
Stern
Stern
You're easily spotted by the suit you're wearing and perhaps a certain air of superiority that travels with you because to be honest, why shouldn't you feel that way? You have your own building, your own email and wifi and will probably run the world some day. Hard-core drinking isn't really your thing but you may be found doing a line or two in the Stern bathroom before class and popping the adderall during a late night study session.
Tisch
Tisch
The rest of NYU makes fun of you for being obsessed with musical theatre and part of the Tisch cult but you don't really care because your alumni network makes up half of Hollywood and you only want to hang out with other Tisch kids anyway. You chain-smoke like a true artist and plus it helps with the stress of dealing with the crew for your student film who are all just that little bit extra. But hey, it's all for the art right?
Steinhardt
Steinhardt
You probably don't identify much with your school because Steinhardt is a random assortment of professional musicians and school teachers, a combination that actually may not be too far off. Still, you’re mature and driven, a classier version of CAS. You could be studying MCC, Music Technology, opera, or classical clarinet… no one really know what it means to get a Steinhardt degree.

Or should we saw Poly? You spend most of your time in Brooklyn and probably only saw the Manhattan campus if you made your way over during Welcome Week your freshman year so probably wouldn't make the greatest NYU tour guide. People with engineering degrees are highest on average earners after graduation so you're pretty set in the future though you'll forever be bitter about the name change and that might hold you back.

People are mad that you get an easier way into any school at NYU you want and yes, you have to sit through tiny core classes for two years but your classes are easier and come junior year, no one knows you were in the program anyway. And if you're in GLS then you're abroad for two years so are you really at NYU?
