What Object Would Be Your Horcrux?

While you would never dare to make a real Horcrux, if you had to make one, you would turn your favorite book into a Horcrux because Horcruxes are made out of objects that are important to you. You love getting lost in the various worlds of literature, and nothing else holds more pieces of your soul already. Whether it is a "Harry Potter" book or James Joyce's "Ulysses," you have a book in mind that you would trust with your soul.

What is the one thing that is most important to you and you would never let anyone or anything harm? Your pet! You may not have a pet snake, but your dog, cat, guinea pig, or whatever type of animal he/she is would make the perfect Horcrux for you because you love him/her more than anything. You have always been an animal lover, and sometimes you worry that you like animals more than you like people, although you would never kill someone to split your soul into multiple pieces!

Whether it is your phone calendar or a physical planner that you take everywhere with you, your calendar is the one thing that is almost as important to you as your own soul. You would turn your planner into a Horcrux because it is something that you guard with your life. You need your time to be structured and your busy schedule to be clearly organized. When you think Horcrux you do not think of ancient diadems or cups, you think of what you really cannot live without.

A Horcrux is supposed to be made out of something that is extremely meaningful to you, so you would turn your computer into one! Think about it, your computer stores your music, Netflix, Facebook, Twitter, etc. It pretty much already has multiple pieces of your soul, without you even having to kill anyone using dark magic. Your computer is one of the only things that you would guard as if your life depended on it, considering you do not know how you would function without it.

Horcruxes are supposed to made out of objects that are meaningful to you, but also simple enough to not be too obvious. Your sneakers are the perfect object for you to turn into a Horcrux because they have sentimental value to you that nobody else can detect. You love being active, whether you are playing sports with your teammates or hitting the gym as often as possible. You know you would lose a little bit of your soul if you did not have your sneakers!

A Horcrux needs to be made out of something of value to you, and you cannot turn your entire bed into one! A pillow is the next best thing because it still represents your love of relaxation and sleeping. Your soul feels at peace when your rest your head on your pillow at the end (or middle) of the day, so it is fitting that you would put a fraction of your soul inside it. You are prepared to protect that pillow with your head as if your life depended on it.
