Selfies that are shot in the almost-dark will come out in bad resolution and pixelated - editing afterwards won't help. You look like an amateur. Get into the light!

Check your hair & makeup - then LEAVE the bathroom. No one wants to see dirty toilets and grimy walls! On that note, clean your room. If you're in your own room, move to a corner that doesn't look like an explosion of Forever21.

Stay away from high cliffs, speeding trains, lion dens and building ledges. Seriously, way too many people have died taking selfies.
