Tekken 7 isn't a new game as it's been in Japanese arcades since early 2015. The community over there seems to enjoy the game and it didn't cause any sort of issues.

But now that the game is heading West, the game is being altered because some people feel triggered about a mass of polygons. This triggering comes in the form of Roger the Kangaroo, a character that has been in the series for quite some time.

PETA (along with other animal activists) have managed to get the character removed from the Western release of the game, because it apparently hurts their feelings when organizations like PETA aren't stealing family pets, or murdering animals in their care and dumping them in the trash.

Do you even kick, bro?

Speaking to gaming site VG24/7 during an event, Tekken 7 executive producer Katsuhiro Harada stated about the situation that:

"There was a video of a man’s dog being headlocked by a kangaroo, and he punched it in the face. It turned into a big problem," Harada stated. "People were complaining about him punching a kangaroo. It seems that in the last few years there’s a lot more animal activists—even though they probably wouldn’t play our game they would still hear about that, about a kangaroo in our game being punched, and would complain about it."

Tekken 7 will launch on June 2nd for PC, PS4, and Xbox One with 38 characters that includes Kuma the bear, because as Harada states, Kuma is "stronger than a human being.”
