Usually possessing pale skin and hair of pastel shades of blond, brown, red or purple, the Vaprans were renowned for their fine beauty as well as their style, sophistication and intelligence. Their fair appearances, combined with light-changing magic, camouflaged them perfectly with their snowy cliffside mountain homes along the northern coast of the Silver Sea. Their Maudra, known as the All-Maudra, Mayrin was matriarchal leader of all Seven Clans and resided in the capital city of Ha’rar.

During the Age of Resistance, the Stonewood Clan was a fierce and proud race renown for their physical prowess, sharp abilities in combat, and inventive skills in forging tools and cobbling. In ancient times, they were known as the Woodland Folk and made their homes in the rich soils of the Dark Wood of the Endless Forest. Their people usually possessed varying shades of brown or black hair and darker skin tones, and the clan has produced many famous and legendary heroes, warriors, and adventurers. Their leader was the battle-adept Maudra Fara, who dwelt in their woodland capital of Stone-in-the-Wood.

During the Age of Resistance, the Sifa Clan was the only race of Gelfling to harvest the wonders of the sea. The most inclusive yet wary of the Seven Clans, Sifans were skilled fishermen, shrewd traders, and curious explorers of the ocean and of mystic wisdom. The various members usually possessed dark hair of purple or russet hues as well as pale skin tones, and were known to worship the oceanic winds that could determine their fates sailing the Silver Seas. While in their home port of Cera-Na, Sifans traded charms and knowledge with any who were willing to pay the right price. Although they usually looked to the Elders for authority, their official leader was Maudra Ethri.

During the Age of Resistance, the members of the Spriton Clan were most well known as farmers and artisans as well as sharp warriors. Their astute skills in animal husbandry, agriculture, fine arts, and textile abilities, such as stitching and beading, were widely sought after and unmatched by any of the other six of the Seven Clans. Spritons usually possessed dark hair of black or brown and their skin was dusky tones of tan. When not traveling to trade their harvests and crafted goods with the other tribes, they inhabited the Southern Plains and many, including their leader Maudra Mera, lived in the capital of Sami Thicket.

Dousan

During the Age of Resistance, the nomadic Dousan Clan was the most quiet and mysterious of the Seven Clans. They were the least materialistic of the Gelfling, preferring to dedicate more focus on the afterlife rather than the domain of the living. Their simplistic yet ritualistic culture is rife with mysticism as well as ceremonial music and elaborate tattoo artistry. Their unique azure shaded skin was often decorated with artistic etchings, and their dark hair was sometimes covered to protect them from the harsh Suns. They inhabited the desert landscape of the Crystal Sea, using the oasis of the Wellspring as their capital, and looked to their leader Maudra Seethi as their representative.

During the Age of Resistance, members of the Drenchen Clan were the most physically imposing and strongest of the races of Gelfling. Due to their larger statures, they were often powerful and formidable warriors. Residing in the wet southern marshlands of the Swamp of Sog, they were an amphibious people and the only Gelfling to possess gills, giving them the unique ability to breathe underwater. The wings of the females served as fins for navigating through the swamps, and all usually possessed pale skin with greenish tints and hair of various, often murky shades styled into dreadlocks. Their leader, Maudra Laesid, as well as many others could be found in the capital of The Great Smerth.

During the Age of Resistance, the Grottan Clan was the smallest and most reclusive of the Seven Clans. They are a gentle, pastoral people who are close with the nature of their home in the dark Caves of Grot far beneath the surface. The Grottans live exceptionally long lives almost exclusively in the vast underground network of caverns and tunnels, leading many of the other Gelfling clans to believe they are an extinct race. Since they inhabit such dimly lit environments, they have the largest and most powerful eyes of the Gelfling, also usually possessing lightly tinted hair and skin with pale greenish hues. Their leader, Maudra Argot, resides with many others in the small village capital of Domrak.
