We Put The FaceApp Age Filter On The Harry Potter Cast And The Results Are Hilariously Depressing

Whether you were never satisfied by the odd age makeup on display at the end of Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 - or simply are morbidly curious - we've taken the liberty of aging-up the entire younger cast of the Harry Potter series for you - and boy are there a few surprises along the way.

Mister Potter, indeed! We're getting some major John Lennon vibes here, which is incredibly sad given that the musician didn't even get close to such a ripe old age. Strangely, though, Potter's wardrobe seems to fit that of an old man perfectly in every photo we tried - so there's that.

Welp... If anyone would've told us that Ronald Weasley would grow up to look like Donald Trump... we wouldn't have believed them - firmly cementing modern technology as both a blessing and an awful, awful curse. Make it stop - poor Won Won definitely won't be winning the aging lottery.

Alright, so maybe it isn't just Harry that managed to dress like an old man for most of his youth - we can firmly plant Neville in this camp, as well. Did everyone in these movies dress like they're 90 and we all just somehow missed it? Was this a thing in 90s Brit-fashion!? Can anyone confirm?

This... this is just too perfect. Sometimes the filter works too well - and this is one of those times. Can't you see ol' Seamus here polishing off his final glass at the pub before aimlessly chucking it across the room for no reason other than it's a Tuesday?

Something about seeing Dudley as a crotchety old man alongside his horrific mother is both wonderful and absolutely terrifying. Though - again - here we have another 10-year-old dressed perfectly as an 80-year-old man, so, I think we no longer need confirmation of our theory - it's pretty much just a fact at this point.

Definitely getting some Minerva vibes here. Will Ginny become a Hogwarts Headmaster in her old age? We're struggling to think of a better candidate. Such an underrated badass lady, she is. Regardless, she looks to be a graceful age'r, which, again, seems absolutely perfect for her.

Oh look - Draco becomes the High Sparrow in his old age and look how absolutely none of us are surprised at all. This may just be the most convincing one yet.

Did we suddenly get transported into a Step-Brothers sequel? Or is it a prequel? The world has forever changed thanks to this damn age filter...

Is anyone surprised that Ms. Granger still looks fantastic? She looks like Lea Thompson (Marty's mom in Back to the Future), too - which is never going to be a bad thing at all.

I'M SORRY WE HAD TO, OKAY? WE HAD TO KNOW WHAT HE WOULD LOOK LIKE IN A PERFECT WORLD WHERE ALL ANGEL-BOYS GET TO GROW UP INTO DISTINGUISHED OLD MEN AND LOOK AT HIM HE'S LITERALLY THE PERFECT OLD MAN AND NOW THE ENTIRE OFFICE IS CRYING.

Well this isn't fair, either, is it? Of course someone as gorgeous as this French Goddess gets to age like a fine wine.

Bless Luna's little heart - She's already a little old bag lady trapped in a kid's awkward body - it's only fitting that she retain that look in her sixties and beyond.

Now THIS is a two-for-one experience, right here. The effect this eerily-effective filter has is doubled upon when applied to twins - one aged and the other not. This looks like a photo of a grandfather and grandson! Unreal.

Dean looks to have some super distinguished years ahead of him. Look at that strapping, Denzel-looking older gentleman!

Some of these are unbelievably realistic. Even if this is not what Ms. Chang will look like in her older age - this looks so much like a real picture of an actual person that it's unsettling to think that it's *not*...

How fitting that Lavender would grow up to look like every teacher we've all ever hated. Look at those smug wrinkles. Ron definitely lucked out with dodging this bullet and somehow getting Hermione to fall for him - which we will never understand or let go. Ever.

And yes, in case you were wondering, Newt Scamander will grow into the cutest old man to ever walk the earth. Perhaps this is what he would've looked like in Harry's day? Dumbledore was well over 100, after all. Speaking of...

So just out of curiosity we figure'd we'd apply the filter to an already aged - BAW GAWD NO! WHY? DON'T LOOK HIM IN THE EYESMYSOULISGONEEE
