Maiko
Maiko
Your chosen rank is Maiko. You spend your mornings waking up with minor hangovers but still motivate yourself to progress through to your daily lessons. After your lessons you come straight home and get ready to go to work at the tea house with your sisters. You take time with your makeup and stroll through the evening streets in a brightly colored kimono. You have a playful personality, like a child you love to go out and make new friends with some of the other girls in the geisha community. But remain a role model for the other girls in the household.
Geiko
Geiko
Your chosen rank is Geiko. The most respected rank in the geisha community. You are a role model to all the girls in the household and community. This motivates you to perfect your skills in to becoming the most wise and celebrated Geiko in Kyoto. You have often pondered on the choice of retiring and getting married or starting your own Okiya to train the next legendary well known Geiko like yourself.
Minarai
Minarai
Your chosen rank is Minarai. You spend your evenings getting ready with your household sisters who are also Maiko. Everything is so new to you. Your makeup isn't perfect yet but it will get there. You still look great though. Your nights consist of late night drinking and early mornings. Due to your debut being so close you are receiving a lot of attention and love it. Other Maiko might become jealous at starting rumors. But being the strong girl you are, you become accustomed to it all.
Shikomi
Shikomi
Your chosen rank is Shikomi. You spend your days in isolation miles away from your friends and family to do chores and attend dance lessons for a span of 6 months. During this time you have bonded with a Maiko guardian who is your role model. You're continuing to learn everyday and the Maiko exam becomes a day's closer. This is just the start of your journey.
Okaasan
Okaasan
Your chosen rank is Okaasan. Your motherly instincts set you aside from the other ranks. You know that presentation is everything and if the customer goes home happy and comes back again that you are happy. You run a lovely Okiya with girls of your own who are training to become the next generation of geisha. As you look back on your life you know that this was the best part was when you truly became a part of the geisha community by starting your own Okiya.
