Ancient of soul, beyond wise, and as age'd as the fracture of Thra itself - you are a MYSTIC. The Light. The urRu. Peaceful and passive counterparts to the Skeksis, your kind came into existence when the light of the Crystal of Truth shined upon the urSkeks during the Second Great Conjunction and divided the urSkeks into two beings. While the Skeksis were rapacious, whimsical and cruel, the urRu, dubbed the "Mystics" by the Gelfling, were creative and healing creatures. Each was linked to a Skeksis opposite; whatever fate one suffered, the other suffered the same. Immediately after the urSkeks split, confused fighting erupted and two Skeksis (and therefore two urRu) were murdered.

Hoopah! You are Podling! "Pod People"! Or apopiapoiopidiappididiapipob, the name they use among themselves roughly signifying "master gardeners who live in bulging plants." You love laughter, feasting and music, and have your own unique language.
As a Podling, youhave a deep affinity for the comforts of life and nature, and have a knack for cultivating fruits and vegetables. Podlings domesticated the Nebrie grub, their totem animal, from whose milk they made cheese and whose actions gave them auguries. They had also domesticated the Fizzgig, an active quadruped who they raised to herd nebrie and occasionaly used for keeping watch on plant tendrils. Their music, to judge by their instruments, was based on harmony quite close to our own.

Gentle, curious, and earthen, are you! As a Grottan, you have a deep affinity for the nature surrounding you and an inherent kindness; your soul truly coming to light amongst all Thra has to offer.
The Grottan Clan was a Gelfling clan which dwelled underground in the Caves of Grot, which were gifted to them by the Skeksis after evicting the Arathim. Centuries of living in the caves gave the Grottans exceptional eyesight, though this made them sensitive to sunlight. In the Skeksis' artificially imposed hierarchy of clans, the Grottans were considered the lowest, and they rarely ventured to the surface world, a trait which lead many non-Grottan Gelflings to believe the Grottans had gone extinct. They were primarily a pastoral people who tended Nurloc herds and were generally not... overly concerned with personal hygiene.

Vaprans are often defined by their drive. Whether such drive leads them in pursuit of insurmountable beauty, knowledge, or wealth, is up to the individual. As the highest of the Gelfling clans, however, there will be little of anything to stand in your way of achieving such goals... for now.
The Vapra Clan was one of several Gelfling clans. They had white hair and fair skin, and their women had gossamer wings. Experts at camouflage, the Vapra could virtually disappear into their surroundings. The Skeksis prized their essence above all others for its restorative effects, which made the Vapra an important resource to the lords of the Castle of the Crystal. They were one of the oldest in Thra and were comparatively more skilled and brighter than other clans. They lived in the cliffs along the northern coast and their capital was Ha'rar. Their leader was All-Maudra Mayrin.

At the close of the Age of Harmony, the second Great Conjunction occurred and marked the beginning of the Age of Division. During this Great Conjunction, the urSkeks stepped into the light of the suns that filtered through the Crystal and refracted through the urSkeks’ mirrors. Unintentionally, the urSkeks were split into two separate creatures: the Skeksis and the urRu.
The Skeksis were the personification of their destructive, cruel and aggressive impulses while the urRu were the personification of their creative, healing and passive impulses. For every urRu, there was a corresponding Skeksis. Immediately following the split, confused fighting erupted. Two Skeksis, and therefore two urRu, were murdered.
Destructive behavior continued, and one of the Skeksis struck the Crystal and cracked it. The resulting release of energy – the kakoi – broke off a dagger-shaped shard and changed everything.
