How To Create A Personality Quiz

Personality Quizzes by Playbuzz provide an individualized experience with no right or wrong answers. PQ enables you to create a series of questions and associate the various answers with quiz results via a simple scoring system.

A Personality Quiz is a great way to create a personal content experience for your readers that's truly all about them. PQs give you the chance to reveal something interesting or surprising about each of your readers that will make them want to share their result with their peers. This means that the results you create in your PQ are an ideal medium to communicate your message to your readers packaged in a revelation about them!

To get started, select the Personality Quiz icon on the create page and click 'CREATE' to begin

Before getting started on your Personality Quiz questions, add a creative title to draw readers in. The title should make them wonder something about themselves and be accompanied by a compelling description to give readers more details.

You also need to add a photo that will act as “the face” of your quiz. This will determine how your item appears on social media. Photos can be added by choosing from a URL link or by uploading your own image. Ensure that your photo is at least 392x294 pixels.

Next, you'll want to start adding results to your quiz. For each result, add a photographs are or a gif or even a YouTube video that will appear with text when people finish the quiz.

After each result, be sure to include text that will serve as the “big reIevelation” people will see after they complete your quiz.

Make sure to use positive, upbeat and exciting language and write it so that it tells the readers something substantial about themselves that they might want to brag about.

Now it's time to write the questions. There’s no limit to the amount of questions you can write, but for optimal engagement we recommend using 8 to 10 questions.

Each question can contain a photo or video background by clicking on “Click to add Photo/Video.” You can add photos from your computer by clicking on “from file” or “from Url”. You can also use Youtube videos.

Next, in the “write your question here” box, type your question.

Each question can have 2 to 8 answers. The answers can be text or photos, or both. Add more answers by clicking on the blue “Add answer” box on the right.

Score each answer using a scale of 3 options: unrelated, neutral or highly related. If you associate an answer with 'unrelated', it means that there will be no connection between that specific answer and a specific result. 'Neutral' gives it a weak connection, and 'highly related' gives it a strong connection.

Add more questions by clicking blue “Add question” box each time.

Throughout the creation process it’s a good idea to take a look at your work and preview the quiz before you publish. To preview, simply click on the 'Preview' button on the bottom left of your creator screen.

Lastly, be sure to set your Tags, Permissions and Languages.

Now you’re ready to publish!

On the bottom of the screen, click on the green “Publish” button and – boom! Your quiz is published and ready to share!
