For starters, we promise we're not trying to be rude or inconsiderate!

2

The truth is, we just have unrealistic expectations about how long it takes to do stuff.

3

Either that or we're just way too optimistic about how much time we have until we have to be somewhere.

4

But just because we're late all the time doesn't mean we're careless or lazy.

5

We just believe in living in the moment!

6

We know that for some of our more punctual friends and family members, our tardiness can be a real pain in the ass.

7

But even if we plan ahead and try to be on time, we still end up arriving up late.

8

However, there may be some psychological reasons for our tardiness!

9

In fact, people who are constantly late actually perceive time differently than others.

10

For some of us, we procrastinate and then end up getting a rush from the adrenaline that we experience from trying to get things done at the last second.

11

Others may get an ego boost from being able to complete a whole bunch of tasks at once.

12

Finally, there are those of us who get distracted while trying to get from one place to another.

13

Whatever the reason, there are actually some advantages to always being late!

14

Like avoiding awkwardly waiting around for people.

15

But if you're sick of us being late all the time, just tell us to be somewhere a half hour before you plan on showing up.

16

And while we know that setting alarms, laying out our clothes the night before and going to bed early seem like great ideas, let's be real....

17

Because the truth is, we're way too "busy" doing other stuff.

18

So while we're aware that our tardiness is annoying, it just means that we spent an extra long time getting ready to see you!

19

Because after all, there is no such thing as fashionably early.
