14 new spiders were discovered in the southwestern U.S. this week!

One of them was named after the late singer Johnny Cash - simply because the large species was found near Folsom Prison. Sound familiar?

BBC reports this new fuzzy species' name as Aphonopelma johnnycashi.

"One of dozens of tarantula genera, this group was previously considered to include more than 50 separate species."

As for 'Folsom Prison' - it's the subject of a popular tune by Cash. You can hear it for yourself below!
