Clean Bathroom Tiles
3/4 cup of baking soda + 1/4 cup of bleach (or a little more to your liking) and add water if the consistency is still a little too thick. spread the paste all over the dirty tiles and scrub tiles to clean them. Might take a few minutes for the dirty to come off but keep scrubbing.
Cleaner Books
Get your dusty old books out of the shelves because it's time to give them some revival. Dampen your cloth with some Clorox and start wiping your old books. Afterwhich, use sandpaper to rub on the book pages while it is closed (almost like filing your nails only this time, you are filing book pages).
Clean Jewelries
This is how you clean your diamonds and gold jewelry: drop 2 tablets of Alka Seltzer in a glass of water then drop your jewelry in the glass as the tablets fizz. Never use flavored Alka Seltzer tablets as these have dye that is not effective at cleaning your jewelry. Wait for 10 minutes before drying your jewelry again with a clean cloth.
NOTE: Never do this with your opals, pearls, and silver jewelry.
Unclog Drains
Using an old wire hanger, do your best to straighten out and bend one end in a hook. Gently insert it in the drain and try to hook all the gunk out. After which, mix 1/3 cup of baking soda and 1/3 cup vinegar and immediately pour it down the drain as it fizzes. Best to wait at least an hour or the whole day if possible. You can also try to get as much dry baking soda in the drain first before pouring vinegar as this will also do the trick.
Cleaner Bed
Choose your favorite essential oil and open your box of baking soda. Put 15-25 drops of your chosen essential oil and close the box. Shake box of baking soda thoroughly to prevent having large clumps. After which, massage baking soda all over your mattress and let it settle for an hour or more. After waiting just be sure to vacuum the baking soda on your bed for a cleaner mattress!
Cleaner Washer
Pre-wash rubbish off plates in the sink to make sure lesser rubbish enters your dish washer. Do this all the time. Some dishwashers also accumulate soap over time and allows for molds to grow which produces an awful smell. Get rid of this smell by filling the bottom of the washer with half a gallon of white vinegar. Run your dishwasher empty to make sure it takes care of the smell well. You're welcome.
Cleaner Velvet Upholstery
Mix lemon juice and baking soda in a bowl. Use a soft cloth and dampen it with the mix from the bowl. Now, wipe the cloth with the mixture all over the velvet upholstery but make sure to only go through it in a single direction (in straight lines) and not to rub the cloth on the upholstery in whatever direction. Let it dry for a couple of hours by itself.
