Isana Yamada is a Japanese artist that creates intricate whales by using a clear white resin. Each whale contains a miniature world.

2

Samsara is the title of the project. The project contains six whales in its entirety.

3

Each whale represents a world in Buddhist cosmology. They include: the Heavenly Realm, the Asura, the Animal Realm, Hell, the Ghost Realm, and the Human Realm.

4

The project is a graduation project for Yamada. Samsara is Sanskrit for the circle of life.
