5 Reasons to watch the Six Nations

Arguably one of the biggest upsets of the knockout stages at 2015 Rugby World Cup was Ireland’s 43-20 defeat to Argentina. As reigning Six Nations champions, expectations are high. Has the luck of the Irish finally run out?

Scotland surprised many at the 2015 Rugby World Cup when they made it all the way to the quarterfinals of the tournament against Australia. And having lost all their games in last year’s Six Nations, the Scots don’t want history to repeat itself.

Wales are relying heavily on their captain, Sam Warburton, to carry the team to championship glory. The Cardiff Blues have wrapped Warburton in cotton wool and used him sparingly this season. The Welsh camp has snuffled rumours of injury but we can’t help but wonder if the skipper is indeed ready for action.

We are not expecting France or Italy to contend for top honours in the championships. However, the two teams have been known to rain on parades from time to time.
