Disney's Blackbeard's Ghost - RECAST
Disney's Blackbeard's Ghost - RECAST
Not to say it's likely, necessary, or even desired... But if there were to be a complete revamp of the movie, WHO could step in to play the characters?? Here's a list of suggestions.

Dean Jones played Steve Walker
Dean Jones is known for a few old Disneys such as "That Darn Cat" (the original of course) or The Love Bug.
In Blackbeard's Ghost, he played Steve Walker, a new coach for a horribly amateur track and field team. The whole movie is basically Coach Walker dealing with Blackbeard's crap.
James Franco as Steve Walker
James Franco is one of a few characters that can come off as just a normal guy in a normal world. This trait, though it may not have been the perfect match for the "Oz the Great and Powerful," makes him perfect for the role of Steve Walker. Just a guy, being tormented by the ghost that used to own his bed.
Helena Bonham Carter as Emily Stowecroft
Bellatrix Lestrange on Harry Potter, Madame Thénardier on Les Misérables, the Red Queen on Alice in Wonderland... Helena Bonham Carter has played among the most strange, and eccentric characters there are. We believe that she would be the perfect Emily Stowecroft in our fictional revisiting of Blackbeard's Ghost.
Edward Norton as Silky Seymour
Slimy? Yup. Hard to deal with? Yup. Looks like a toenail? Yup. Edward Norton has sure played some scummy characters in his time. He would be right at home playing this dishonest, filthy, cheating guy who looks like he'd constantly smell like Old Spice - the kind of old spice that Science teachers used to wear in the '90s, not the Terry Crews buff awesome stuff they have today.
Peter Ustinov as Captain Blackbeard
Sir Peter Ustinov was one of the most versatile and yetunderrated actors of the 20th century. He played a walrus in Alice in Wonderland, (The one with Martin Short and Whoopie Goldberg) He played Prince John and King Richard on Disneys animated Robin Hood... heavens, he even played King Herod on a move called, Jesus of Nazareth, and NAILED it.
Shia LaBeouf as Captain Blackbeard
Shia is also a horribly underrated actor. Unlike Peter Ustinov, who is a dramatic actor turned comedian for certain roles, Shia is a comedian, who delved into more dramatic roles after the fact. We think that Shia would be a great blackbeard, given his comedic chops... and frankly, we'd like to keep him busy, because we all know what happens to him when he's got too much time on his hands.
