Meet Cherry Blossom the pig
Cherry Blossom is doing great now, but she almost died when she came to live at Sale Ranch Sanctuary.
She was very, very sick with sarcoptic mange.
She was in such excruciating pain that she had shut down. You could see the most incredible sadness and uncomfortableness in her.”
Jen Sale, CEO of the animal sanctuary
The sanctuary thinks Cherry Blossom was kept in filthy conditions. As a young pig, her immune system couldn't fight the germs.
But the sanctuary was determined to help Cherry Blossom.
So they treated her with creams, and laser light therapy...
“We’d come and put the medicine on her, and she learned very quickly that we were helping her. And even though she was in so much pain, she’d snuggle up and want us to rub her belly. She’s just a testimony for how forgiving and loving animals are.”
Jen Sale, CEO of the animal sanctuary
After two months of treatment, Cherry Blossom is feeling much better!
Cherry Blossom now spends her days chasing her ball, playing in her mud hole, running around with the dogs, and visiting with the other animals in the barnyard. And she's always ready for a belly rub, of course!
We have ALL. THE. FEELS.
Hooray for Cherry Blossom! She is SOME PIG!
