Let's face it - we got to a point where time has lost any meaning (unless you're reading this after the quarantine is over and in that case, forget what we just wrote). Netflix and chilling all day long is awesome, but you know what else is awesome? doing something with yourself. If you're into being productive and making the best out of these weird times, then we got you, boo boo! Here are 7 perfect tips that will help you have a productive day and will make you proud of yourself all together.
Let's start by saying - relax! We don't mean you should put your phone away for the entire day - just until you're done with your morning routine. One of the best tips to start a day fresh is to put the phone scrolling last on your morning schedule. Wake up, stretch, brush your teeth, brush your hair, put on a new pair of sweatpants, drink a cup of coffee and then, only then, open your phone. You got this!
We can't emphasize enough how much we love a good to-do-list. After getting ready for the day, take a pen and a paper (you can do it on your laptop but it's not as fun) and write 5-10 bullets for your day. The list can include workouts, reading, cooking, studying, taking a nap, and basically everything you want to achieve today. You'll be so much more focused thanks to this little list.
Now that you have the perfect TDL for your productive day, the next step is to schedule a few of your points. For example, bullets 1-5 should be done till 12 PM, while bullets 6-10 are scheduled between 12 PM to 6 PM. After 6 PM you have our permission to go back to being super lazy.
Starting your day with a workout is the best thing you can do for yourself. Wait, before you get angry and exit this article, hear us out! We're not talking about a full hour of a sweaty work out, we mean like a 5-10 minutes exercise. Even if you're like most normal people and you're not a morning person, a few minutes of stretching and working on your abs, arms, and legs will make your day so much better. We swear on our onesie.
Whatever your planning to do on your productive day, it can be upgraded in a second with the perfect playlist. Put on some Beatles, Ariana Grande, or BTS songs and have the best damn day ever.
One of the best ways to make time go by faster is to have something to look forward to. Make sure that each of your days consists of something that will make you happy (and don't forget to put it on your TDL). And yes, It can even be just a 4 o'clock snack.
It's a cliché, it's annoying, it's all over your friends' IG stories but it's true - courses, lectures, dance classes, singing, reading - a hobby a day keeps the boredom away.
