Ghosts costumes back then would scare the life out of anyone.
Demon-clowns were all the rage...
... and so were hauntingly distorted faces!
Even toddlers would get their creep on!

The general costume guideline went something like: "Just try to look like you belong to a homicidal satanic cult"
People really made an effort with their costumes; no horsing around!
You could pretty much weasel yourself into any terrifying costume!
