Five Days on Five Poker Festivals - epic guide to Autumn poker festivals

So what information will you find for each festival?

Suggested five days: Some of the poker festivals can last a few weeks. Therefore, for those of you who can't afford such a long trip, we have found interesting dates - five days during which they will be able to participate in the most interesting tournaments and entertainment is provided by the organisers.

Poker: Bread and butter of our list - here you will find information about the poker games you will be able to participate in.

Hotel: Based on information from booking.com we calculated (for the illustration) the average cost of accommodation for five days, for two people in five-star, four-star and three-star hotels, located as close to the city centre as possible. The average was calculated from the prices of five hotels (when that was possible). This is of course an approximate cost - if you are looking for a different hotel standard, or you are ready to stay in an apartment or hostel, or you are going alone, the cost can go down a lot!

Prices:
Food prices are based on online price comparison sites.

Meal - means a three-course meal for two people in a mid-range restaurant, if you're going alone divide this in half
McDonalds - means a McMeal at McDonalds, or equivalent Combo Meal (for one person)
Beer - one domestic beer, 0.5 l draught
Cappuccino - one standard coffee
Coke/Pepsi - one 0.33 l bottle
Water - one 0.33 l bottle

Information which we didn't include

Flights: We do not know which country and city will be your starting point, so we have not provided the cost of transport to your destination (also, flight prices can really vary). Currently there are so many flight search engines (for example Kayak, Skyscanner, Momondo, Azaireu, Expedia) that you should easily find cheap airlines to each of the places.

Things to do (besides poker): In fact, all the places on our list offer a wide range of entertainment - from lazy relaxation and sunbathing to cultural entertainment and vibrating nightlife. Of course, when choosing a place you should do your own research and take into account the specificity of the place.

Let's start with the "last minute offer" - European Poker Tour Open Sochi, which starts this weekend in Sochi and runs until October 13th. During the festival there will be 24 events (including 11 satellite tournaments).

The European edition of the WSOP will take place in Rozvadov on 13 October-4 November. During these three weeks there will be a lot of tournaments and satellite tournaments, including 15 tournaments with WSOP bracelets on the line.

Hotel:
The problem is that in Rozvadov outside the hotel in King's Casino is hard to find a place to stay, and there are many people willing to participate in the festival, so it may be hard to find a place in the casino hotel. The solution that we can offer to those who have their own car is accommodation in one of the three nearby cities: Marianske Lazne (48 km), Plzen (68 km), Weiden (40 km, Germany).

An additional advantage of living in one of these three cities is the greater amount of entertainment, if you decide to give up one day of the festival and relax.
