There's no need to fear, PG-rated Deadpool is here!
Okay, sure, it's actually Lego Batman, but the similarities between the two are rather impressive. This film takes a spin at that style of humor but makes it appropriate for children to enjoy - while still leaving things for parents (and just older cartoon lovers) to snicker at.
Between a stellar cast (be warned, you will spend a lot of time going, "Wait, I know that voice..." and then gasp at the credits), a delightful soundtrack and an endearing plotline, it's a great way to brighten up a day through a movie.

Most impressive about the film is the way that DC seems okay with poking fun at itself, between the almost romantic-comedy twist that they apply to the Batman-Joker relationship and the general snarky take on Batman himself, mostly due to Will Arnett's gravelly voice acting.
The supporting cast, both in voices and in characters themselves (seriously, Voldemort and Sauron are brought into this film), are what will help elevate this film above other animated counterparts. Small parts from comedians such as Jenny Slate, Jason Mantzoukas, Doug Benson and Eddie Izzard truly balance the film out beautifully and help create a film that you will not stop laughing at from beginning to end.
The resemblance is impressive, right?
