Classic Nags Head Style!

Looking to relax and take a step back in time? You'll get both in this classic oceanfront home that's named in the National Register of Historic Places. The MacMullen-Scott Cottage is one of the beautiful cedar sided cottages comprising the Nags Head Beach Cottage Row Historic District, and was built in the late 1920's by S.J. Twine for the wife of Percy MacMullen of Elizabeth City, NC. Situated right in the middle of a mile of a beach with no public accesses, this estate will give you a sense of how things used to be on the Outer Banks while offering all the modern amenities. The spacious main house has four bedrooms on the top level that are built in a circle with access from room to room, and two full bathrooms. There is a separate cabin with two additional bedrooms and amenities.

Water, Water, Everywhere!

When you stay in "Lone Cedar II", you're surrounded by your own slice of paradise and history. The home is situated on the very end point of a secluded community where water activities are endless. You could swim, fish, crab, kayak, paddleboard, or launch any boat right from the dock. You are also just a swim or paddle away from a sandy slice of private beach. As if the area surrounding the home wasn't impressive enough, the actual house features a spacious environment (5,700 sqft.) for 4 bedrooms, a private 24' salt water pool, and even is decorated for some holidays by the homeowner! Although it is recently built, the Lone Cedar II is steeped in tradition and history. The owner's family moved into the Lone Cedar Club house on this land in the 1960's. This new cottage displays silverware, plates, and cups from the old Lone Cedar, plus relics like clay smoking pipes from the early 1700's that were dredged up near this cottage are on display. You can't leave without feeling that you have lived some history here!
