These Adorable Baby Sloths Need Your Love, And Here's Why

You might not know this, but Sloths do really poorly in captivity as a species.

Deforestation has created a huge threat to Sloth populations around the world; Sloths need the right trees to live, and they need a lot of them.

Sam Trull decided to do the sensible thing, and set up The Sloth Institute of Cost Rica-to help reintroduce rescued Sloths back into their native habitats.
Also so she could spend her whole professional life working with Sloths.

Sloths don't have many defense mechanisms, and when they're stolen by traders to be tourist attractions, they often die from stress soon after.

Trull says we can help by being responsible humans and tourists.

Sloths were made to chill out, eat banana leaves and be adorable. They're too good for humans, really.
