Is the Nike brand male or female? How about Apple? Sears? Such "gender" determinations for a company can be a powerful part of shaping a brand's story. There is technically no right or wrong answer here because a brand's gender is largely in the eye of the beholder, but John Manley, group strategy director at DDB, offered his professional take on whether these brands lean more masculine or feminine.
