Rose Bowl
Rose Bowl
You'd play in The Rose Bowl. The site for the most-known bowl game ever, The Rose Bowl is perhaps the most hallowed ground in college football. Its immaculate mountainous view and iconic structure compensate for the fact it's not the loudest stadium in the country. It's home to the Pac-12 UCLA Bruins and the winners of the Pac-12 and Big Ten each January. And I guess that parade.
Michigan Stadium
Michigan Stadium
You'd convene in Michigan Stadium, a.k.a. "The Big House." The largest football stadium in the country, The Big House lives up to its moniker each fall even if its inhabitant hasn't for a bit. The Wolverines' fight song is just as iconic as their helmet, and while it doesn't house many night games, Michigan Stadium remains a destination site for Big Ten athletes to play.
Carrier Dome
Carrier Dome
You'd take on opponents in the Carrier Dome, a.k.a. "The Loud House." While Syracuse is known for its hoops tradition, its home field remains one of the loudest in the country by its sheer design. It remains unique due to being one of the only domes in college sports. A decade-plus removed from its Donovan McNabb-led heyday, Syracuse can't match some of its higher-profile peers for interest. But its academics are among the best and its players do not have to worry about game-planning for rain or snow. Sneaky advantage.
Tiger Stadium
Tiger Stadium
You'd call Tiger Stadium home. Arguably the most raucous SEC site, LSU's home field is home to a live Bengal tiger, yard lines marked every five yards and 100,000-plus intense fans. Tiger fans can look forward annually to showdowns with the best teams in college football. And its mostly night-game atmosphere takes a backseat to few across the country.
Albertsons Stadium
Albertsons Stadium
You'd play at Albertsons Stadium. If you're unfamiliar with its official title, gaze at the unmistakable Smurf Turf. Boise State makes up for its mid-major conference with explosive, innovative offenses and a devoted fanbase that's observed a rise to prominence. It's not steeped in tradition, but opponents rarely leave Boise victorious. And it's home to the Humanitarian Bowl, which forces warm-weather teams to spend New Year's in frigid temperatures. Fine holiday fun.
Michie Stadium
Michie Stadium
You'd call Michie Stadium home. Army's home turf is not big by Division I standards, but it has traditions ordinary institutions can't match. Its fans are not usually treated to passing exhibitions, with the Black Knights preferring to run at almost all cost. Media and national interest does not often disturb this place so its beautiful scenery comes with little pressure and a home-style feel few know about. Take that Navy, you and your gimmicky option offense and rivalry dominance.
