A special lecture on the topic of ‘Indian Economy and the Role of Students after Education’ - Sanjay Dalmia

Hindustan College of Science and Technology, Mathura, organized a special lecture on the topic of ‘Indian Economy and the Role of Students after Education’ for its Electronics and Communication students.

The principal institute of Sharda Group, Hindustan College witnessed the gathering of eminent personalities who gathered for the lecture. The event was chaired by Sanjay Dalmia, Chairman of Dalmia Group of Industries, along with the celebrity astrologer and motivational speaker Dr Jay Madan, who was a special guest at the programme.

Executive Director of the institute Prof VK Sharma, along with Executive Vice President of Sharda Group Pradeep Mahtha, commenced the special guest lecture by lighting the ceremonial lamp and presenting bouquets to the eminent guests.
Prof VK Sharma took to the stage and appreciated Dalmia, who chose to attend the event despite having a busy schedule. Sharda Group's Executive Vice President Pradeep Mahtha gave the students an insight to his industrial experience, and motivated them to make the best of lives. He said that the best opportunities come only to those who work hard for it. In the end, everyone will have to be prepared to make their lives successful, in which experience of such inspiring speakers will come in handy.

Guest lecturer Sanjay Dalmia had a lively discussion with the students. He talked about a wide range of topics, including the Indian economy and students’ life after having completed their education. The GHCL Chairman wished the students the very best for their future.

“Be it the health services in Britain, or the software industry and NASA in the USA, our fellow Indians are everywhere. It makes me proud to see how Indian students are emerging to be the experts in every field – from IT sector to rocket science,” said Sanjay Dalmia.

Talking about the economic development in India, the Dalmia Group Chairman said, “Development is possible only if we raise the minimum income of the farmers. Also, it is important that we rely upon India’s internal resources for fulfilling all our economic needs. This would generate more employment as the need for importing goods and services would gradually diminish.”

The ace industrialist also praised the Prime Minister’s initiative of ‘Make in India’ campaign. He said, “Make in India is a superb initiative taken by our government to generate employment in the country and creating a strong, stable economy.”

The business ace also reflected upon the issue of brain drain during his interaction with the students of Hindustan College of Science and Technology. “Usually our students receive basic education in India. Then they fly abroad for further education and find jobs there. The resources we invest upon our students end up benefiting the countries they eventually settle in,” he said.

Mr. Sanjay Dalmia added, “Initiatives like ‘Digital India’ and ‘Make in India’ will create more job opportunities. This will make people from other countries look forward to come and work in India, instead of our people going abroad for jobs.”
