Her full name is Taylor Alison Swift. She was named after James Taylor, a famous singer and performer. Taylor's mom, Andrea, also wanted to name her daughter 'Taylor' because if you heard her name you wouldn't know if it was a boy or girl.

Taylor was born December 13,1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania. She spent a majority of her childhood living there with her parents, Scott and Andrea, and her younger brother Austin.
