Reshma Qureshi lost an eye and had her face seriously burned and disfigured when her estranged brother-in-law attacked her with acid two years ago.

Now, in addition to creating beauty tutorials on YouTube, Reshma works with campaigns to end the open sale of acid in India.

But Thursday, she got another amazing opportunity to walk the runway at the beginning of New York Fashion Week, working with FTL Moda, an organization which works to challenge beauty standards and create a more inclusive runway environment.

Qureshi wore a gown by Indian designer Archana Kochhar and completely nailed her strut in spite of nerves and jet lag.
