Flynn RIder (Eugene Fitzherbert)
Flynn RIder (Eugene Fitzherbert)
At first, Flynn comes off as cocky, arrogant and a little bit self-centered. He is overly concerned about money, wealth and the tiara he wishes to regain from Rapunzel. However, when one gets to know him, he is sensitive, laid back and good-hearted. He is also agile, strong and quick-witted. As he begins to fall in love with Rapunzel, he transforms into a more compassionate, chivalrous and trustworthy person, and changes his priorities. By the end of the film, Flynn's love for her has grown to the point where he is willing to die so that she can be free.
Great catch, girl!
Prince Eric
Prince Eric
Heroic, brave, determined, exploratory, shy, romantic, dreamer, fun-loving, kind, selfless, polite, regal, mature, sophisticated, down-to-earth, what more could you want in a man!? As a bonus, he's also really good-looking....so it's really a win-win situation.
Prince Phillip
Prince Phillip
Brave, heroic, easy-going, daring, princely, he's got everything. Add in his good looks and great dancing skills and you've got a keeper. Good catch, girl!
Prince Adam (Beast)
Prince Adam (Beast)
At first glance, the Beast originally appears to be irritable, temperamental and stubborn, and comes off as very mean and serious. He has a very bitter and negative, extremely cynical outlook, and is quick to become frustrated and give up when things did not work his way.
Though he is stubborn and lacks manners, he is not without a kind side, and is described by animator Glen Keane as "a twenty-one-year-old guy who's insecure, wants to be loved, wants to love, but has this ugly exterior and has to overcome this". Once he begins to care for Belle after rescuing her from a pack of wolves, he becomes more agreeable and gentle. He even attempts to become civilized again for Belle's sake, relearning table manners and feeding birds. Learning to care for Belle also reveals a fiercely loyal side to him, as he was willing to give anything and everything to protect Belle and keep her happy, even if it meant sacrificing his own happiness by letting her leave him.
You've got a loyal and protective guy for sure, but he is also willing to die for your happiness. Flawless.
Hercules
Hercules
While his strength is above average, Hercules isn't all that intelligent. But what the hero lacks in outstanding brains, he makes up for in compassion and the desire to do good, which is especially appreciated in a world with constant turmoil around every corner.
As mentioned above, Hercules is compassionate, and his most dominant trait is, without a doubt, his innocence and massively kind heart, in spite of being treated like a "freak" by his peers and those around him throughout his childhood, and adolescent years. Even after becoming a worldwide phenomenon, Hercules retains his innocence and cheerful nature, not once letting the fame dangerously inflate his ego .Notably, whilst usually on the bright side, Hercules has an affective sternness to his personality, showing that he can be serious when he needs to be.
Prince Naveen
Prince Naveen
Prince Naveen is a fun loving and lazy, yet educated philanderer. He loves dancing, playing music, and most of all, women. Though he has a lot of innocent charm to him. This, of course, makes him out to be an egotistical and lazy adult, who's only goal is to "live life to the fullest" via partying every night with beautiful women of all kind. Whilst the prince was a heavy philanderer, he did seem to have a huge romantic side to him, which apparently was never used at full force before meeting and falling in love with Tiana for the first time.
Naveen is also one of the first Disney princes to have a heavily vain personality, constantly commenting on how gorgeous and wonderful he finds himself, much to the annoyance of those around him. Still, underneath the vanity, Naveen isn't as confident as he likes to believe, ultimately confessing to Tiana his disappointment in not knowing how to do anything at all, as a result of being served and waited on all his life.
He's sensitive, sweet, funny, a dancer and so much more. He's the ultimate catch.
Aladdin
Aladdin
Despite his upbringing, Aladdin is a generally optimistic, fun-loving, and charming character. Though he was forced to steal for survival, he showed joy in escaping the brutish guards, alongside his sidekick Abu, and showed an attempt to find enjoyment in the struggles of his day-to-day life. Nevertheless, though he didn't mind stealing from the marketplace denizens, albeit forcibly so, Aladdin was, in no way, a selfish character. Not only were the thefts for survival, as mentioned before, Aladdin was never above sacrificing his food for the less fortunate of Agrabah, such as starving children. This is an example of Aladdin's selflessness, which was showcased several times throughout the film, specifically for the sake of Jasmine, and most notably, during the finale, Genie.
However, despite his cheery, fun-loving nature, Aladdin is also shown to be insecure. The cruelty shown to him by others above him eventually led Aladdin to believe such claims, as he saw himself unworthy of Princess Jasmine's affections, and far from a "diamond of the rough".
