Chart-topping popstar Justin Bieber took no prisoners in this year’s Guinness World Records. He won a number of awards with the most streamed track on Spotify in one week being "What Do You Mean" as well as winning an award for the most followers on Twitter and the first act to occupy all top three positions simultaneously on the UK singles chart. Well done Mr. Bieber!

Ashrita Furman from the US on December 2011 ate the most M&Ms in one minute, blindfolded and using only a chopstick.

This recorde breaker has extremely strong arms. Markus Ferber from Germany held Clarissa Beyelschmidt, also from Germany, above his head in a standing position, on one hand for 1 minute and 16 seconds. He achieved this in 2010 and hats off to him as his record is still standing strong.

This record-breaking ant is the world's most dangerous, also known as the "bulldog ant" (Myrmecia pyriformis). It's mostly found in the coastal regions of Australia. In an attack it uses its sting and jaws simultaneously. There have been at least three human fatalities since 1936, the latest - a farmer in 1988.
The "bulldog ant" earned its name because of its ferocity and determination during an attack. It is extremely aggressive and shows little fear of human beings, stinging a number of times in quick succession and therefore injecting more venom with each bite.

Julie and Ed Cardoza are parrot trainers and owners of Zac, a 25-year-old parrot who holds a spot in Guinness World Records 2013 for the most basketballs slam-dunked by a parrot in a minute.

Nadya Suleman from the US claimed headlines across the world on January 26, 2009 when she gave birth to six boys and two girls at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Bellflower, California. The largest ballpoint pen measures 5.5 m and weighs 37.23 kg. The pen was made by Acharya Makunuri Srinivasa from India, and was presented and measured in Hyderabad, India, on 24 April 2011.

Imagine a metal coil passing through your nose and out of your mouth? Well you don't have to unless you want to beat this record breaker. The longest metal coil passed through the nose and out of the mouth measured 3.63 m in length and was achieved by Andrew Stanton from the US.

Well this not only looks painful but i'm pretty certain it feels painful. So a well deserved record breaking win for Silvio Sabba from Italy, who had 51 pegs on his face for one minute. Bravo Silvio, bravo!
