Certain Walkers seem to be of a higher caste than others. Led by the Night’s King (Richard Brake), they can even turn living infant humans into Walkers. While we still do not know much about the Walkers (although the Night’s Watch might soon get an education in the matter), they are the single biggest threat to Westeros. While others are dangerous to those who cross them, to their enemies, or to the individuals that they are sent to kill, the White Walkers are dangerous to the lives of every living being. The night is dark and full of terrors, indeed.

The Dothraki khaleesi (queen) and Targaryen princess. She and her brother are the only surviving members of the Targaryen family, and she grows from a frightened girl to a confident ruler, while still maintaining her kindness, over the course of the novel.

He is smart, obsessive, and careful with the games he plays. Sandor Clegane is a skilled warrior in the service of House Lannister, known primarily for the horrible facial scarring he bears on the right side of his face and for his fierce demeanor and lack of chivalry. Sandor is the younger brother of Ser Gregor Clegane, nicknamed "the Mountain", a monstrously huge knight and arguably the most feared man in Westeros.

Jon is a born leader, charismatic, heroic, good-hearted but with northern toughness, someone people will trust and follow in battle, like they did Ned stark; we need some of those old-fashioned heroes to root for not only anti-villains
